My Love of Photography.
Hello! I am Peggy Corsaut, the owner of Corsaut Photography. We are located in Lebanon, Oregon in the beautiful, green Willamette Valley. I am the mother of 4 wonderful children and grandmother to one adorable little grandson. :) I tend to take a lot of photos of him! My love for photography started early on in my life. My parents and I took a trip to Hawaii during the summer between my sophomore and junior year in high school. I was able to borrow a 35 mm Minolta Camera to photograph our vacation. My parents had never had a 35mm camera and I was in heaven taking photographs of everything! :) I just couldn't get enough of using the camera and got some fairly good shots of the Islands and scenery. One of my favorite shots is the mast of a clipper ship called "The Falls of Clyde". I will have to scan and upload this photo soon to add to this page.
Over the years, as I had children and pets and then began raising German Shepherds, I amassed a huge quantity of photographs of my kids and dogs. Now as I look back over the accumulation of photos, I can see a few good shots here and there of my 4 beautiful children and of my dogs and pups. Most of them were just 'ok' shots and I always had just a point and shoot camera. During this time, I purchased my first digital camera and became obsessed! I think this is really when my true love for photography began. I could shoot and shoot photos and erase which ones I didn't like! Yay for the digital age!!
A few years back, I met the love of my life, Carl Corsaut, and he had a nice camera that I snuck on many occasions! LOL I started taking more and more photos and with the help of a few friends, started doing photo shoots. This has led to my starting my own photography business. I still take tons of photos of my kids and my grandson (oh what fun he is!) and my dogs....and my husband! Now I can use this love for photography and for a reasonable price, enjoy taking photos of your family too! I have a real love for people and children. I have to say that children are my favorites to shoot! They are so genuine and happy, so trusting and open! It is an amazing opportunity to be able to capture the beauty of each individual personality!
I have so much fun spending time with you and your families! My goal is to get to know each and every one of you to truly bring out your character and unique expressions in the photographs! I encourage you to bring your childrens favorite toys, hats, clothing, etc....I love working with props and I have many of my own (my collection is growing!), but you can certainly bring anything special to you that you want to include in your photos.
